Abrielle's mother, Orly - a runner and martial artist as well - was diagnosed with stage four cancer nearly two years ago, with the verdict that she had six months to live and would never run again. "If I can walk," she says, "I can run. I can defy the doctors too."
They now run half-marathons together to raise cancer awareness, and run speaking engagements to help people build through something impossible in a positive way.
